Melody/Lyrics

In handwritten scripts it is mentioned as "A church verse for Grigor Naregatsi" or "A praise of the church to Saint Shoghagat" or "A Birth Melody for Grigor Naregatsi". This verse is of an extensive text but in the preserved song only two lines are used and those two lines are sung in an expanded, long way. The concept of verse has a vast comprehension and is explained as "a rhythmical thing, a verse song, a playable poem", while in treasury boxes it is understood as a certain kind of spiritual song, that can't be confused with a treasury, a hymn or any other creation of different nature. Those verses are usually short and solid poems, "special songs concerning feasts of God and the saints" correlated to corresponding treasures.
