"Our Old Songs", Yerevan, 2001 (arm).

Songs of this kind are performed on the last day of the Armenian seven-day wedding ceremony, which means this is one the last songs of the ritual. In the morning the newlyweds, their friends, and kin climb to the roof of the house to meet the sunrise, and, addressing the rising sun, they praise the Lord and glorify the revitalizing power of sunlight.
