Melody/LyricsVardavar, or Vardevar, is a traditional pre-Christian Armenian feast, which Gregory the Illuminator replaced by the Feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus. Vardavar, or the Feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus, is one of the five Great Feasts of the Armenian Apostolic Church. This feast falls between the 28th of June and the 1st of August, 98 days after Holy Easter. People celebrated Vardavar by splashing each other with water, singing happy, funny songs, dancing, and releasing doves.
