This is an instrumental adaptation of the song. The man appeals to the forces of Nature to help him console his grief. He turns to mountains, fields, and springs and pleads: “Hide the daylight under the dark soil from an evil man.” According to Manuk Abeghyan, Komitas combined two different tunes in the song “Hov Areq.”
